I am thankful and excited for my 3rd chance, and would like to give an update......

I know its been awhile since an update. I had my 2nd transfer on Sept. 27th. I am sad to say but that pregnancy did not take. I took it a little harder than I should have. I was able to go to a surrogate support group meeting in Oct. that made me feel so much better. Right now I am doing really good and very excited to share with all of my family and friends, I have a new transfer date set for Nov. 26th. I have a great feeling about this one. 

And since it is Nov the month of being thankful. I am very thankful for my life and the chance to be a surrogate. I am so very thankful for all of my Family and Friends that have supported me through the good and rough times. Thank you all so much, without all of you this would be much different.

Not great news

I wanted to keep everyone updated. I have such great support from all my Family and Friends and I need to so Thank you all again. But Friday night I went in to the hospital with heavy bleeding, and had a miscarriage. Today I had a D&E. This is very hard for me but I will be ok. I am getting better each day. My couple is very sad but we will all be able to move on from this and move forward in a few months.

I am so proud to be caring a baby for two very special people!!! 

The transfer is set

Last month was hard on me, due to the 1st transfer being dropped. The day I was suppose to have the 1st transfer the Dr. office called to let me know that we have a new egg donor and a new transfer date. I was very happy but not ready to but all my feeling in to the next transfer until I knew that this was really going to happen. Well I start meds on Thursday and fly out of Reno on Mon for the transfer on Tuesday. I will find out if they are going to transfer 1 or 2 embryos tomorrow. I am now getting very excited, not to excited about the shots but it is a small price for me to pay for what I will be doing for my couple. I will keep everyone posted and Thanks again for all your support!

Not so good news

I just wanted to update everyone, the cycle has been dropped. There is no new date has of now.

Count down to the transfer

19 days till I go in for the transfer.

I am so excited for my couple, the beginning of next year I will hand them the most precious gift anyone could give to other person. I feel so proud that I get to be there surrogate mother. There is nothing more incredible then a baby growing inside of you, I get to do this for two very special people. I am very blessed.

Our time with our couple

Last week we met our couple in person. My husband and I hade a great dinner with them. It was so nice to meet them and give and get hugs from them. We had some gifts for them without expecting anything in return. They had also gave us some very special gifts. We had got them a journal, and father to be shirt and there son a future big brother shirt. They loved their gifts. They had brought us some sweet treats from Italy, some hand creams and body lotions made from the salt from the dead sea, a beautiful shawl, and some clothes for the kids. We loved the gifts and are getting the kids spring pictures in the clothes they got from them. The next day we brought the kids in to meet them, the kids were so good that day. They had a great time seeing downtown Reno and spending time with us and the kids. We got a chance to talk a lot about our future together, I am even more blessed to be able to help there dreams come true to become parents. They are such great people, and fun to be around and could not have asked for a better couple to be paired with.


We are planning the embryo transfer for mid may, so very soon I will be pregnant with a baby for my couple. I feel so great knowing that I will help give them such a great gift.

I have some great news!!!!

My thyroid levels are down to where the doc wants them to be.........1.79!! Now I wait till April 12th to find out about the next steps.


Also April 9th I get to meet my couple in person for the first time. I am so excited to be moving forward.

Update on my levels and the transfer

I had to be put on thyroid meds because my levels were 8.71 now they are down to 3.57. My Dr. wants them a little lower so I will keep taking the meds and get retested in a month.

I am very excited the 2nd week of April, I will get to meet my couple in person. We Skype and email all the time, but it will be great to hug them. As of now the transfer is planed for the 3rd week April. It is starting to feel weird knowing that very soon I will be pregnant again. But this time I will not be preparing to raise a baby, I will be helping my couple prepare for that. I know in my heart I am done having children, but I know having babies is what I am good at, so I will help there dreams come true.

I have to share this story

I was my friends birth coach. On Thursday night my friend give birth to her 1st surro baby. It was so fast and so incredible. She is a extremely strong woman, I am so happy to be apart of her journey and be there for her. She gave birth to a 6lb 13oz baby girl with only 3 pushed and no meds. I got to see 1st hand why woman are surrogates. It was like magic when the baby's parents saw her for the 1st time. You could see the moment when they fell in love with her. That moment makes it wroth it. Being the husband for two days was so great, I got to be there for my friend and help with whatever I could, plus I got to help with the baby. I was nice to help with the baby, but after two days I was so ready to go home to my kids. I would be a birth coach again and again!

What is going on now...

I got a call from the Doc. about my blood work that he ordered. My thyroid levels came back a little high. So now I am on meds for that, but I am okay with it now. I have read about it and talk to the nurse more about it. One of the reason it could have gone up is because of the birth control they put me on. But the Doc is still planning to do the transfer the 1st week of March. I am getting so excited and a bit nervous. I just hope that we get pregnant on the 1st try.  I will get to spend a week with my couple, I can't wait to hug them. They are so special to me, it is so amazing that only after a few emails and video chatting with them, they feel like family. I love them, and know they will be great parents to their baby.
