End of the year, but happy news

Since August 12th, when we were matched my couple has worked very hard to find the perfect donor.  I can not imagine how hard it has been for them. After a few small set backs. The 3rd donor decided to walk away.....

So my couple were able to find already donated eggs that fit there needs. And the eggs have been shipped to the clinic here in Colorado.

My medical records are sitting on the Doctors desk.

The clinic closes for 2 weeks during the holidays.  But once they receive the eggs,  they will turn them into embryos and do genetic testing, which takes about two weeks.  During this time I will go through my medical screening and all the legal stuff. Things should move quicker now.  Just an idea,  but looking at end of February or beginning of March.  To start medication and set a transfer date. I  am so excited we are moving on and can not wait to share this pregnancy with my couple.

I just would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday and Good News!

Today is my surrogate son's 4th birthday. I can't believe its been 4 years. It took two years to get this beautiful boy to his parents. Baby's grow so fast,  I wish him the  happiest of birthdays and a life time of so many more. Happy Birthday baby boy.

Just yesterday I got the news that my 2nd couple that I was matched with in August, has an egg donor and things are moving forward. While waiting for a match and an egg donor.  I had to lower my bmi. I have worked very hard to get my bmi from 34 to 27, with lossing 40 lbs. Just waiting for the next few steps to get all the legal and contracts competed and eggs,  then embyros.  Once we get through these few steps we can move on to making and growing another beautiful baby. I love that I get to make another family and two peoples dreams come true.

One of the most exciting parts of this journey is that my couple is local,  state side.  If you all remember my last couple was from Italy,  which makes communication and plans a little more difficult. But we made it work and still made wonderful memories. The traveling back and forth from California was a challenge and hard at times.  I would need to be away for a week with each transfer.  There were 5 embryo transfers , which means a lot of arrangements. This time I will just need to drive to Denver, a few hour drive. I just hope that this time everything is smooth and we get pregnant on the first try. A quick recap of my first journey..... Like I mentioned I had 5 embryo transfer in 9 months(June 2013 - March 2014)the first one I got pregnant and lost the pregnancy,  then the next three transfers did not take, and finally on March 9, 2014 we had the last and final transfer and I was pregnant. So many shots, different medications and blood work went to making him a reality, which was worth everything I went through.  I would do it all over again in a heart beat.  I just hope that I get to give the same happiness to my couple.  More information to come...........

Thank you all for supporting me through everything and always being here for me. Surrogacy comes with so much and without the support I could not have  made it. Family and friends I could not be more Thankful for all of you.

Medically cleared

I had applied with a Colorado Surrogacy. Today I got a call that I have been approved. Its been 3 years since I had my surrogate baby and now I get to be a surrogate again!!! There are a few things Bill and I have to get finished and then we can move on to the matching process. I am very excited to be able to move on and be a surrogate again. I can't wait to help another family with their dream to have a baby. I just hope this time around I get a little break and am able to get pregnant with the first transfer!!! I feel like this is a great thing for me and my family.

I am sad to announce

We have a lot going on in our lives at this moment. I really don't want to get into details. I had to make a very tough decision. I have to let the Surrogacy go for now. I was so excited to work with the man I am was matched with. Some very unexpected things happened. With all of that and the things the doctor wants me to do. I am feeling so much stress. I had to pick something to let go for now. I had to pick my family's needs first. Surrogacy will happen again, but for now its on hold. I do feel so bad for having to back out. I feel like this is what I have to do for now. I do wish the best for the man I was matched with, I do hope he gets his chance soon.

Medical Screening

So yesterday I went and had my medical screening. I received some not so great news and some great news.

  • Great news first, I CAN BE A SURROGATE AGAIN!!!!
  • Not so great news, my thyroid levels are not high- so he adjusted my meds.(this will help)
  • My weight is a little higher then he would like, I need to aim for to lose 15lbs!
  • He found two polyps in my uterus, that must be removed.
He said that they should be benign. I will need to have a D&C (Dilation and curettage) to have them removed.
  • Uterine polyps are growths attached to the inner wall of the uterus that extend into the uterine cavity. Overgrowth of cells in the lining of the uterus (endometrium) leads to the formation of uterine polyps, also known as endometrial polyps. These polyps are usually noncancerous (benign), although some can be cancerous or can eventually turn into cancer (precancerous polyps).
Uterine polyps range in size from a few millimeters — no larger than a sesame seed — to several centimeters — golf-ball-size or larger. They attach to the uterine wall by a large base or a thin stalk.
You can have one or many uterine polyps. They usually stay contained within your uterus, but occasionally, they slip down through the opening of the uterus (cervix) into your vagina. Uterine polyps most commonly occur in women who are going through or have completed menopause, although younger women can get them, too.http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/uterine-polyps/basics/definition/CON-20027472
When performing a therapeutic D&C, your doctor removes the entire contents of your uterus, not just a small tissue sample. Your doctor can do this to:Remove a molar pregnancy, in which a tumor forms instead of a normal pregnancy Treat excessive bleeding after delivery by clearing out any placenta that remains in the uterus Remove cervical or uterine polyps, which are usually benign

Remove fibroid tumors, which are benign tumors formed on the uterine wall that sometimes bulge into the uterine cavity
Clear out any tissue that remains in the uterus after a miscarriage or abortion to prevent infection or heavy bleeding
Your doctor may perform the D&C along with another procedure called a hysteroscopy. During a hysteroscopy, your doctor inserts a slim instrument with a light and camera on the end into your vagina, through your cervix and up into your uterus. Your doctor then views the lining of your uterus on a screen, noting any areas that look abnormal, making sure there aren't any polyps, and taking tissue samples as needed. During hysteroscopy, your doctor can also remove uterine polyps and fibroid tumors. http://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/dilation-and-curettage/basics/why-its-done/PRC-20013836

New developments with my second Surrogacy

I will first start by, asking for no negative comments!

A few months ago I was matched with a single gay man. I strongly believe everyone that wants the chance to be a parent should be able to. That is why we have surrogates! This morning I Skype with my future intended father, and it went so good. I can not wait for us to move forward. I am so excited to able able to help such a sweet man with his dream to becoming a father!

Thank you all for your support!
