Happy Birthday and Good News!

Today is my surrogate son's 4th birthday. I can't believe its been 4 years. It took two years to get this beautiful boy to his parents. Baby's grow so fast,  I wish him the  happiest of birthdays and a life time of so many more. Happy Birthday baby boy.

Just yesterday I got the news that my 2nd couple that I was matched with in August, has an egg donor and things are moving forward. While waiting for a match and an egg donor.  I had to lower my bmi. I have worked very hard to get my bmi from 34 to 27, with lossing 40 lbs. Just waiting for the next few steps to get all the legal and contracts competed and eggs,  then embyros.  Once we get through these few steps we can move on to making and growing another beautiful baby. I love that I get to make another family and two peoples dreams come true.

One of the most exciting parts of this journey is that my couple is local,  state side.  If you all remember my last couple was from Italy,  which makes communication and plans a little more difficult. But we made it work and still made wonderful memories. The traveling back and forth from California was a challenge and hard at times.  I would need to be away for a week with each transfer.  There were 5 embryo transfers , which means a lot of arrangements. This time I will just need to drive to Denver, a few hour drive. I just hope that this time everything is smooth and we get pregnant on the first try. A quick recap of my first journey..... Like I mentioned I had 5 embryo transfer in 9 months(June 2013 - March 2014)the first one I got pregnant and lost the pregnancy,  then the next three transfers did not take, and finally on March 9, 2014 we had the last and final transfer and I was pregnant. So many shots, different medications and blood work went to making him a reality, which was worth everything I went through.  I would do it all over again in a heart beat.  I just hope that I get to give the same happiness to my couple.  More information to come...........
